The most important attractions of Poznań

Old Market Square

Poznań Old Market Square is the third largest in Poland. Tourists will find there, among other things, a beautiful town hall building, which was built in the middle of the 16th century. This Renaissance monument is considered one of the most interesting historical attractions of Poznań. It should be remembered that the town square is also home to beautiful town houses, the so-called City Scales and a guardhouse.

Ostrów Tumski

This island on the Warta River is one of the places with the richest history. It is home to, among others, the 15th century Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Archbishop's Palace. However, Ostrów Tumski is above all the famous cathedral.

Imperial Castle

The residence of the last emperor William II built between 1905 and 1910. One of the most unusual and majestic buildings in Poznan. In the 1990s it gained a completely new meaning and was transformed into the ZAMEK Cultural Centre. More than 2,000 events are held here every year. The castle is also open to tourists.

Stary Browar (Old Brewery) at 42 Półwiejska Street

Built in the 19th century, it now serves as a modern shopping gallery and a centre for art, culture and education. As well as shopping, there are opportunities to take part in international exhibitions and workshops. It is one of the most visited places in Poznań by nearly 9 million people a year.

Royal Castle

A residence from the 13th century that was destroyed over the centuries, but restored in the last century. Today, it attracts tourists interested in the interesting history of the place. Inside you will find one of the branches of the National Museum in Poznań with an exhibition of applied arts. From the 43-metre-high tower, you can enjoy beautiful views of the city skyline.
